Kahagon on Nichols Pond

History dates back to the 1800’s. The original farm was established in 1870 and was transformed in 1906 to a summer boys camp called Kahagon. The term is a Native American word meaning, “in the forest”. The camp operated until the early 1930’s when it shifted into a private retreat. During the 1980’s and 1990’s the property emerged into a resort with private lakeside retail cottages and a restaurant. In 2018, Kahagon was purchased by a local family inspired to offer guests the unique experience of vacationing on Nichols Pond.
